Why I Am Focused On My Content Marketing Strategy
As of late, I have really been making it a point to focus on the content marketing strategy for my business. Having been in the marketing industry for over 25 years, it only seems natural to begin to share some of my thoughts, opinions and stories via my company blog. You see, for a long time I have been known to my network as the “video guy” and while video production is definitely one of our core services here at Focal Point, there’s so much more to the story. It has always been my passion to build an Digital Marketing Agency that is truly engaged in the success of each client.
I graduated from Southern Illinois University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and Marketing. I spent the early part of my career in Television Broadcasting learning to tell stories about real people. I always gravitated to the people interest stories because it lended itself to more creativity. So, I guess I have always been attracted to a good story. The next stage of my career awakened my true passion. Marketing gave me the opportunity to help businesses tell their story in a voice that is truly their own.
As I’ve been building up a great network of friends, clients and business partners over my career I have had the privilege of doing some pretty cool things. With the help of my team at Focal Point, I have been able to work with companies to create and execute a complete online marketing strategy. We’ve assisted clients through the rebranding process including logo redesigns and web site development. And of course, I’ve been able to use my passion for visual storytelling through photography and video production to make it all come together.
We are now entering our sixth year in business and as we continue to grow our business I think it’s time that I put myself out there more when it comes to content marketing. My plan is to share my viewpoint on some hot topics going on in the online marketing world to help you understand how it might apply to your business. I’ll also let you in on some of the things I’ve learned along the way in regards to operating a full service digital marketing agency. I’ve had to privilege to work with some great people while helping many businesses grow over the years. Now, I’m hoping to be able to help even more.
